Food Insecurity

1 in 10 Families

STRUGGLE IN THE US TO PROVIDE ENOUGH FOOD FOR THEIR MEMBERS

The cost of nutritious food ranges from $200 to $400 per month for a family, with low-income households spending nearly $2,400 annually to meet basic nutritional needs.

For families experiencing food insecurity, food ranks as the fourth-highest household expense—following rent, utilities, and healthcare—making it a significant financial burden.

Schools may offer meals during term time, but during summer and spring breaks, families often need extra help to provide consistent meals for their children.

Food Assistance Programs

Our food assistance programs go beyond traditional food banks, using technology, strategic planning, and partnerships to create more efficient and accessible food solutions for those who need it most.

  • Seasonal Meal Kits for Families – Providing extra meal support during school breaks to ensure children continue receiving nutritious food when school meal programs pause.

  • Mobile Food Distribution & Pop-Up Markets – Bringing food directly to underserved neighborhoods through mobile food pantries and community-led pop-up distribution sites.

  • Leveraging Partnerships to Reduce Costs – Through collaborations with local food banks, farms, and grocery retailers, we have lowered food costs while increasing the quantity and quality of distributed meals.

  • Legislative Advocacy – We support local, state, and federal policies that expand food access, strengthen school meal programs, and provide funding for food assistance initiatives.

  • Public Awareness & Community Engagement – Through educational campaigns, community discussions, and outreach programs, we raise awareness about food insecurity and empower individuals to take action.
